Divus Augustus, died AD 14. As (Copper, 30 mm, 11.08 g, 5 h), restitution issue, Rome, struck under Titus, 80-81. DIVVS•AVGVSTVS•PATER Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. IMP•T•VESP•AVG•REST• / PROVIDENT / S - C Square altar with two doors and two horns left and right on top. BMC 268. Cohen 559. Komnick 38.0. RIC 454. An attractive example with a lovely dark green patina. Minor smoothing and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
